To begin with, I was pleased when you, alone out of four companies, did not suggest that the fix for my flooding problem was French drains. Since I already had French drains that didn't do the job, I was pretty sure that I needed a different solution. The swales made (and still make) sense, and the rain we had during construction proved you right.

Next, Dave Mull's design ideas have been wonderful. He didn't dismiss my own ideas but found a way to work my preferences into a unified and graceful design. He helped me select plants that complemented the work I had already done in the garden. His suggestions for moving existing plants have made a world of difference. Before he started, the garden was lovely. Now it is not just lovely but gracious and welcoming. I suspect it will be far easier to maintain than what I had in place, and it succeeds in drawing the eye (and in warm weather, the entire person) into the garden. The fact that Dave sent daily updates by email and phoned each day allowed us to discuss the progress of the project, as well insured that any changes that I wanted to make on the fly could be accommodated.

Your foreman Jose, and his crew, Erasto and Imael, were incredible. I don't believe I've ever seen three people work harder or more efficiently. They kept me informed of what they were doing, showed me both what they had accomplished and what would come next, and they kept the area as neat as possible given the fact that things were being dug up and moved. The paving work that Jose did was a masterpiece - I don't know how else to say it. The pattern is pleasing and the piecework is amazing. The best part about both the hardscaping and the landscaping is that it all looks as if it's always been there - like it belongs.

You told me this would all be accomplished before Christmas. I had my doubts, given the weather and my past experience with home projects, but you were right. I have company coming tomorrow and there's no trace of the hard work that you did except for the brilliant finished project.

When the job crew arrived, they quickly went to work. Jose, the crew chief, was very pleasant and explained exactly what was going to happen and when. The entire crew worked continuously (with the exception of a short lunch break). Ish and Erasto were also polite and courteous. When they left, the site was tidy and all materials needed for completion the next day were neatly stacked. We were quite impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. We never heard a curse or disparaging remark.

We were also pleased that you came out to inspect the work and insure that it was being completed correctly and in a timely manner. The entire job, from beginning to end, exceeded our expectations.

Last, but far from least, was the helpfulness and caring of Kristie Manley, Jacqueline DiSabatino, and Kara. They answered all of our questions, always returned our telephone calls quickly, and if they did not have an answer, got one for us. Their efforts, along with your crew's and yours, made for a pleasant experience. Unlike too many construction businesses today, you kept to your time frame and worked until the job was completed.

In conclusion, we are quite pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of your work and the professionalism of your employees. We are glad we chose DiSabatino Landscaping to do the job and expect to use you again in the near future. Today our handyman/carpenter was here and he even commented on what an exceptional job you did. Thank you!

Steve Ciprani in particular was very helpful and made himself available to answer any questions we had. Because the sod was installed during the hottest stretch of weather so far this year, we were very nervous about keeping it sufficiently watered and not having it die on us. Steve made us feel at ease in taking time to answer our questions, even taking our calls during the weekend. Lance also took the time to follow up to ensure we were watering the sod and caring for the plants as we should. Over the past two years we have had a lot of work done to our house and it seemed that there would always be something that wasn't done quite right or the level of craftsmanship just wasn't up to what we expected. Often times it would feel like pulling teeth just to get something corrected that had gone wrong and I would end up worrying when or if things would be made right. I never for a second felt that way when dealing with your company. Steve and Lance, through their professionalism and immediate follow up, gave me the confidence that any issue I had would be addressed to my satisfaction. It is a pleasure to work with a company that you have confidence in. Overall you have far exceeded our expectations and I would be happy and proud to recommend you to family and friends.

And my cute little dog, Keiko, also enjoyed the steps! My daughter in Spain couldn't get over the pictures and can't wait to see it when she comes home for her visit this summer. Jose and his team were wonderful to work with. I enjoyed coming home at lunch time to talk with Jose and marvel at how much they got done that morning. I invited him to come back with his family in the summer when we have more planting done. He was jealous of my back yard!

I also want to commend your assistant, Kristie. She was always on top of things and checking back with me. I have a folder of emails back and forth with Kristie from mid-October. She is a valuable treasure that you should be thankful for every day. That's the kind of assistant a good business would want!
